I LOVE this quote! I think there is a lot of truth within this quote. Some of our biggest battles are because we have already told ourselves, "I can't do this" or "This is way to hard for me". I hear this a lot especially when it comes to math. We put this "I can't" mentality into our way of thinking and then we are correct; we struggle. But it is not that we can't do it. We have to train ourselves to think more positively about ourselves and tell ourselves, "Okay, this may be hard and I do struggle with it, but I CAN do it" and we change our "I can't" statement to, "I can't do it YET". Maybe it is something we haven't learned yet, or haven't quite figured out. But we are capable of doing it if we set our minds to it. Our minds and bodies can do some crazy things when we push ourselves and we don't set our goals way to high or way to low.
We are braver than we believe- this year in math we will be learning, doing, and trying new things. We have to be brave and be willing to try things and do them. It is okay to struggle and ask for help, it is not okay to not try.
We are stronger than we seem- getting older and more mature and being in fourth grade can definitely come with some social challenges as well. And while everyone is human (and we are allowed to cry every once in a while ;) ) and things happen inside and outside of school, we have to be strong for our classmates.
We are smarter than we think- "I can't do it YET" instead of "I can't do it". We can do whatever we set our minds to! :)
